JUNIOR CHOIR

In 1979 Mrs. Pauline Makris began the Junior Choir. The choir is made up of boys and girls from 7 to 13 years of age. Pauline's goal was to instruct the young people in the liturgical patterns of music. She rewrote the music into a simplified form for beginners. As the singers mature in the tones and patterns of the responses so too does the level of musical intricacy. The young people sing the responses to the entire Liturgy on the third Sunday of every month. They participate with the adult choirs for special services during Holy Week, Christmas Eve, and whenever the Bishop visits.
