Founded in 1951, Big Brothers is a fraternal organization. John Morgan, Sr. has been president for the past 20 years. Vice President is Tom Kanatas; Secretary is Angelo Gesouras; and Treasurer is Mike Kanatas. For several years Big Brothers has awarded annual college scholarships to young applicants in our church. The money for these scholarships was raised at one time through bingo games. It is now raised from profits made at their big New Year's Dinner-Dance. Around 1965 Big Brothers began having Christmas dinners. These dinners started a tradition that brought people back year after year. It was the Kanatas brothers' hilopites (thick, buttery noodles). Mike and Tom have polished their recipe to perfection.
