The festivities of the 75th Anniversary
of your community have been an excellent
opportunity for all of us to recognize and appreciate the marvelous accomplishments of
our forefathers. Katherine and I consider
ourselves fortunate that during the years of
our ministry in Columbus we had the honor
and privilege of working hand in hand with
the then living pioneers of your church.
However, this year's celebration is also
a tribute to you, the heirs of your immigrant
parents, who had the vision and courage to
preserve and perpetuate what you have inheri-ted by transplanting in this part of the
world an edifice of Greek Orthodox architecture and beauty where all the elements of the
Mystic Church of the East will be incorporated together with unique modern educational and cultural facilities. By doing this you
have succeeded in maintaining a serene continuity of the glorious past of our Church with
the present and the future.
I congratulate you and pray that you be fortified with wisdom, faith and love
so that all soon thank and glorify God for the completion of this great task that you have
undertaken.
